Tom Potter † Senior Pastor

Pinecrest senior pastor Tom Potter I have had the great honor and privilege of being a pastor for over 35 years in 3 different churches. Before being a Pastor, I served as Youth for Christ Director.

The Lord called me to Pinecrest in 1986 where I am currently the Senior Pastor. In addition to the pastoral ministry at the church, I have had the privilege of serving as Police Chaplain with the Portsmouth Police Department for 24 years. I am a member of the International Conference of Police Chaplains.

Currently, I am the Track Chaplain at Langley Speedway, the President of Motor Sports Ministries, a member of Raceway Ministries, and a short track consultant with Motor Racing Outreach. Another outreach ministry that the Lord has provided for me is writing an article with Motor Sports Magazine entitled Chaplains Corner.

The Bible verse I have chosen for my life's verse is

"Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither labored in vain."
Philippians 2:16

The vision statement for my life is

"To reach out each day and make a positive difference in someone's life in the name of Christ by making their day a little bit brighter and their load a little bit lighter."

Marcus Bridges: Children's PastorPinecrest childrens pastor M Bridges

 

Marcus is originally from Stuckey, GA.  He attended Liberty University where he received a BS in Religion, Masters in Religion and is currently working towards his Masters in Divinity.  He also attended Apprentice School where he received an Apprentice in welding.  Marcus had a call to ministry in 2004 and before coming to Pinecrest as our Children’s Pastor, Marcus served as Associate Pastor at First Baptist Church in Big Stone Gap, VA.  Marcus is married to Rebecca, his true soul mate and together they love working with children.

 “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”
1 Corinthians 10:31
